According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are about to sign a new five-year deal with Alisson Becker.
The Brazilian goalkeeper came to Anfield Road from AS Roma in the summer of 2018 after Loris Karius’ much-discussed Champions League final in Kiev for a reported transfer fee of 62.5 million euros. Since then, under Jürgen Klopp, he has played a huge part in the team’s rise, helping them win the 2019 Champions League and the Premier League the following season. He has played a total of 130 games for the Reds (100 in the Premier League) and has been clean 59 times. In addition, he scored a decisive winning goal against West Bromwich Albion, which helped the team to a top four result in the 2020/21 season.
Liverpool will sign an agreement with Alisson to extend his contract until June 2026. The agreement is in the final stages. 🔴 #LFC

The 28-year-old still has his original six-year deal but his exploits for Liverpool have certainly earned him a new deal and the Merseysiders are understandably keen to keep their No.1 for as long as possible.
