Everton have expressed interest in Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze as the search for a new winger continues.
The 22-year-old made 40 appearances last season, scoring four goals and providing eight assists when his team won the Europa League.
He is also a Nigerian international with 18 internationals so despite his young age will bring a fair amount of experience to Goodison Park.

Chukwueze was injured in Villarreal’s European win over Manchester United, but played in the semi-finals against Arsenal in both games and sustained a groin injury in the second leg.
The tricky winger was too associated with United and Liverpool in the past and has a £ 71m release clause in its contract which expires in 2023.

Theo Walcott has been a permanent member of Southampton, Alex Iwobi has had a tough time since joining from Arsenal and Bernard is currently facing an uncertain future at Goodison.
However, Everton is apparently nearby Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray signed.
Gray will cost Rafa Benitez’s side around £ 1.5million. The attacker currently plays for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen and only joined them in January.
Difficult to find for the first team, Gray left the Foxes earlier this year to join Leverkusen. In his 12 missions he scored one goal and provided two assists for the German team.
Townsend, meanwhile, is without a contract after his contract with Crystal Palace expired on July 1. He has 26 goals and 22 assists from his 243 Premier League games.
The 30-year-old former England international left Palace after five years at Selhurst Park.
Elsewhere, Benitez has announced that he was “in touch” with Everton striker Richarlison. The Brazilian is reportedly drawing the attention of Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.
Richarlison will represent Brazil at the Tokyo Olympics. The first game will take place on Thursday, July 22nd, against Germany. The final of the tournament will take place on Saturday, August 7th.
“I was in contact with him, he had the Olympics in the back of his mind, we had to sort out his situation and he is fine,” said Benitez.
“He’s happy because he can go there … and he knows he has to give us something back because we supported him.
“The [not being involved at start of season] could be something we can’t consider great at the start but will be a massive boost for us the rest of the season as he will try to deliver.
