Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Newcastle United and Wolves are all interested in midfielder Jens Cajuste from FC Midtjylland, according to reports from Sweden.
The Swedish-born midfielder spent his early years in China before returning to his homeland at the age of ten to join Orgryte IS.
Cajuste made his senior national team debut in 2016 before signing for FC Midtjylland in 2018.
Ten Premier League clubs made the most of transfer sales
The 21-year-old has already played more than 50 times for the runner-up in the Danish Superliga 2020/21. His form for them led him to make his A debut for Sweden last year.
Cajuste was in the national team five times and was part of the squad that reached the second round of Euro 2020.
The Ligue 1 club Rennes has already made an offer for the midfielder, according to the Swedish outlet Quickdraws.
They add that Crystal Palace, Leeds, Newcastle and Wolves all show “specific interest” in Cajuste. It is said that all four clubs are in “talks” with Midtjylland and the players’ representatives.
Elsewhere, Palace’s new £ 18million Marc Guehi has insisted he is “really excited” to be working with Patrick Vieira:
“I don’t think there’s too much to say to be honest. He speaks for himself to the player he was, how he behaves. He’s also had a really good record as a manager lately, ”he told Palace TV.
“When he was in Nice, he did a really good job there. I’m just really happy to work with him.
“[I was] born in Ivory Coast, born in Abidjan, came here at the age of one and lived in England all my life.
“I grew up in Lewisham mostly so I know the area. I’ve obviously gotten closer to Chelsea, but I’m a London boy and I know exactly what it is to be a London boy.
“When you come from south London, it’s really exciting. You know what it’s about, what the fans are about, and you have that real connection.
“[Selhurst Park] is one of the Premier League stadiums with the best fans who always rock there. A fantastic atmosphere, I will hopefully experience that one day. “
