Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet could leave the club this summer in search of more playing time, a report said.
The Belgian was largely kept out of the team by Wilfred Ndidi and his compatriot Youri Tielemans under Brendan Rodgers. Praet has only started 35 games of the 60 games he has played. He only started one league game in 2021 after sustaining a hamstring injury that he sustained for most of the year in the FA Cup against Stoke City.
Terrifyingly, he’s never played a full 90 minutes in a Premier League game, but has played six times in other competitions.
Now, The sun claims the 27-year-old is not happy to warm up the bench for another season and may seek another move.
He was bought by Sampdoria for £ 18million almost three years ago and could bet on returning to Italy.
That feeling may have been heightened by the imminent arrival of the Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
In addition, the source argues that Rodgers would not stand in Praet’s way should he go.
The athlete report that Leicester would want to sell it at the price it was bought for.
Leicester amid the scramble after Barcelona confirm the star will leave
Arsenal have expressed their interest Praet Made an offer for him over the years two years ago – which was rejected.
The express reports that another offer from the Gunners could come in with boss Mikel Arteta looking to strengthen his ranks, with Grant Xhaka going to Jose Moutinho’s Roma for around £ 17million
Additionally, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira relocate production to Marseille and Lazio, respectively. The source says this leaves the door open for Praet to move to the Emirates.
The midfielder has made 13 appearances for Belgium, two of them at Euro 2020. He was substituted on both times; once in the opening game of the group stage against Russia and again in the quarter-final defeat against eventual champions Italy.
