Under Julian Naglesmann, RB Leipzig rose to great heights in recent seasons. They almost managed to win the Bundesliga in their last season, but unfortunately they outperformed the German super giants in the end. With the elimination of Naglesmann, the chances of winning the title are slim, but not ruled out.
Jesse Marsch will be our new head coach from the 2021/22 season!

Jesse Marsch has had a fruitful time at RB Salzburg and will hope to have the same impact on Leipzig. For this, however, Marsch has to make some changes in his squad. As of now, Rb Leipzig has concluded a deal in this transfer window.
They managed to get Andre Silva from Frankfurt in the hope of having found the replacement for Timo Werner. Otherwise they were completely silent on the transfer market. FootTheBall brings you all the players that RB Leipzig should target in the summer transfer window in order to increase their chances of winning the first Bundesliga title in the coming 2021/22 season.
🎙️ Dayot #Upamecano: “I’m happy to be here and have already had very good experiences with the team. It’s a big step for me and my career. #FC Bayern is a great club with great players. I want to fight for this great club. “#We are who we are #FC Bayern pic.twitter.com/ikckvShq3d

With Upamecano and Konate, RB Leipzig has lost the two strong pillars that gave them all-round stability. Even though they bought Mohamed Simakan earlier this year, they are still extremely short of center-backs. German clubs often rely on high pressing, which is why a solid backline is the cornerstone of every Bundesliga club.
RB Leipzig also needs to add some firepower on its right flank. Just like his predecessor, Jesse Marsch loves to play with his team throughout the season. That’s why Leipzig needs a versatile winger who can be a chameleon and change his colors as Marsch wants. We have also observed that Leipzig play more on the left than on the right, which is mainly due to the brilliance of Dani Olmo. On the other hand, Leipzig also needs someone who can function as a hub in half-spaces.
PRIORITY # 1: CENTER-BACK
IDEAL OPTION: NIKLAS SULE
FC Bayern Munich bought Dayot Upamecano earlier this year, which has reduced Niklas Sule’s role at the Bavarian club. With Chris Richards also emerging as an emerging talent, it is very unlikely that Bayern Munich will think twice before parting ways with Sule.
With a contract term of just one year, Sule is going through his options, which is why it is the perfect time for Leipzig to close a deal with the 25 year old. Its market value is around £ 31.50 million, which is a big bargain considering the value was up nearly £ 20 million a year ago.
Chelsea are also closely associated with Bayern Munich. The German defender will likely feel like moving to the Bundesliga instead of changing his whole scenery and therefore RB Leipzig can easily lure the central defender.
OPTIONAL BUDGET: JOHN ANTHONY BROOKS
Since RB Leipzig doesn’t spend a lot of money, John Anthony Brooks is perfect for Jesse Marsch’s system. His performance in defense was one of the main reasons why Wolfsburg achieved a place in the Champions League last season.

The big 1⃣5⃣0⃣!

RB Leipzig’s backline has been lacking in experience for some time and that’s something Brooks brings with him. He is 28 and has played in Germany for 8 seasons. He is also six feet tall, which gives her side an areal dominance in her box.
John Anthony Brooks is grossly underrated as his market value is only £ 12.60 million. It’s an easy and much-needed theft for RB Leipzig as the player has a lot more fighting going on.
THE quirky option from FOOTTHBALL: CALUM CHAMBERS
Arsenal are in the process of bringing Ben White into their defense to avoid conceding fewer goals this season. With that star signing, Callum Chambers would see his time on the pitch shorten and then a player is desperate for a way out.
Callum Chambers isn’t exactly one of the best center-backs in the Premier League, but he’s not bad either. He only had 8 appearances last season, 2 of which were on the bench. He is 26 and will gradually improve his game if he gets enough minutes, which he will do at RB Leipzig.
Its market value is only £ 10.80million, but it doesn’t live up to the quality Chambers will bring to the site he chooses.
PRIORITY # 2: RIGHT WHISPER
IDEAL OPTION: DAVID BROOKS
It’s shocking that no one is talking about David Brooks this summer. He is possibly one of the championship’s best talents and certainly deserves a reputation. As mentioned earlier, Jesse Marsch loves to keep changing his system and likes versatile players. David Brooks was played in a total of 6 different positions at Bournemouth last season. He had 7 assists last season and was one of the main architects of his team’s clash.
It’s a shame for English fans that no Premier League club are seriously considering getting the 24-year-old attacking player. Your loss can be Jesse Marsch’s gain as no other club is bidding for him, it should be an easy buy. Its market value is around £ 14.40 million which is so little for so much potential.
BUDGET OPTION: FEDERICO BERNARDESCHI
Bernandeschi was one of Serie A’s hottest up-and-coming talents when Juventus signed him from Florentina for £ 36million. A player with so much potential is only occasionally seen as a substitute these days. Juventus didn’t even fix him for a single position as he was played across the pitch to replace him with tired players.
He played 27 games in the league, including 19 as a substitute. It is clear that Juventus does not want to do anything with the player and therefore his contract only has 1 year left. We believe it still has a lot of potential that it has not yet tapped and with the environment it can still reach its older value.
Bernardeschi is currently valued at around £ 13.50 million. The purchase is well worth the risk and RB Leipzig should consider the 27-year-old Italian winger.
THE bizarre option of football: ALEXIS SAELEMAEKERS
It was Alexis Saelemaekers’ first year as a player at AC Milan and the 22-year-old took advantage of this opportunity in a great way. Aside from his attacking skills, he has also been played as a right-back a few times, which is just an added bonus for the club he plays for.
He made 28 starts for a team like ASC Milan, which just shows how good Saelemaekers is. Its market value is around £ 20m and RB Leipzig should try to get it as soon as possible as its value has increased three times in the last year and will only get higher in the coming seasons. It will be difficult to snatch the youngster from AC Milan, but Leipzig should at least try.
