Cristiano Ronaldo thrilled a full house at Old Trafford and millions of Manchester United fans around the world with his demolition of Newcastle on Saturday.
But there is one man whose recognition means more to Ronaldo than most … and that man fucking loved it too!
Legendary United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was at the game and his face was a real eye-catcher after Ronaldo scored his first goals for the club since joining Real Madrid in 2009.
Ronaldo has previously spoken publicly about his love and admiration for Ferguson, who stepped down as Red Devils boss in 2013. In a 2015 BBC documentary, Ronaldo described the Scotsman as a “soccer dad”.
United have not won the Premier League title since Ferguson’s resignation but are currently at the top of the table after beating Newcastle.
When they raise the trophy in May, that smile could get even bigger …
