David Offei, who played for Asante Kotoko between 2010 and 2013, is dissatisfied with the current status of the Ghana’s Premier League powerhouse.
The midfielder has played for multiple clubs in Ghana including Accra Great Olympics FC and New Edubias FC but he credits Kotoko for getting his football career on the right track.
Asante Kotoko finished second behind champions Accra Hearts of Oak in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
In an interview with ghanasportspage.com, David Offei described the togetherness of the club during their stay in Kumasi.
“Kotoko is still an association. So far, I’m sad when I see Kotoko play because the little things that helped the club are missing. I don’t know it’s because of the management and the new squad. “
“When I check a thing or two that they do, I can’t see that there is no togetherness compared to our time because when you join Kotoko you become like blood.”
“Asante Kotoko is the club that helped me gain more experience in my time because they don’t know about you when you join them, so I was always serious even when I played friendly matches. Kotoko is still in our blood “,
“In our day we loved each other like brothers. We have always been very happy to meet on the pitch. We all wanted to meet again for training the next day because there was a consensus, ”he concluded.
