Nigerian Broadcasting Authority Director General Alhaji Yakubu Ibn Mohammed said Tuesday that the country’s leading television broadcaster is delighted to host the first edition of the Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Football Tournament in Lagos City 15. to be involvedNS – 21stNS September 2021.
During a courtesy call from members of the tournament’s local organizing committee, the savvy broadcaster said it was an honor for the NTA to be offered the role of the tournament’s official broadcast partner (terrestrial) in honor of the country’s Firsy Lady, Her Excellency Dr. (Wife) Aisha Muhammadu Buhari.
“We are very excited about this offer to play a key role in a tournament in honor of the First Lady. We are honored to play this role.
“For us, even more than football, it is an opportunity to present different aspects of our country to the world, as football itself only lasts a few hours on match days. There are other things to see and that makes the tournament a window for us to show the world other parts of Nigerian life.
Alhaji Ibn Mohammed, along with executive directors and directors of the broadest reach in the country and also with considerable international reach, said the organization looks forward to sealing the deal with the LOC in a few days.
