Inter stumbles at Sampdoria | Forza Italian football

Sampdoria ended Inter’s perfect start to the 2021/22 season and held the reigning Serie A champions 2-2 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday afternoon, but are still looking for their first win of the current league season.

In the sun-kissed Marassi, the Nerazzurri took an early lead with a wonderful free-kick from Federico Dimarco, before the Blucerchiati were able to equalize in the 33rd minute when a shot by Maya Yoshida was deflected by Edin Dzeko past Samir Handanovic.

Il Biscione scored again just before half-time when Lautaro Martinez ended an impressive counterattack, but Sampdoria equalized right after the restart with an impressive volley from Tommaso Augello.

Inter could have fallen behind in the 74th minute, but Danilo D’Ambrosio cleared Mikkel Damsgaard’s shot off the line and will lose a man in the face of an injury to Stefano Sensi, accepting a hard-earned point.
