El Shaarawy madman gives Roma a last-minute win over Sassuolo

Stephan El Shaarawy scored a great goal in stoppage time in Roma’s 2-1 win against Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico in Series A On Sunday.

A tense encounter seemed to be heading for a draw after Sassuolo’s Filip Djuricic made up for a goal from Bryan Cristante in the first half after a clever free-kick from Lorenzo Pellegrini.

After both teams hit the post and Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio saved his side twice with big saves, El Shaarawy stepped off the bench and leaned off the inside post in a wonderful attempt in stoppage time to bring Roma to the top.

However, Sassuolo seemed incredibly equal with the final kick of the game when Gianluca Scamacca knocked the ball down and shot a stunning shot, only to be denied offside.
