After the weekend’s 3-0 win, Chelsea’s most recent win was tarnished after a selection of Blues fans were seen sectarian abuse midfielder John McGinn.
The Scottish midfielder ran to the west quadrant of Stamford Bridge to take a corner during the game.
In the clip in question, a fan standing behind the billboards in particular heard shouting: “Boo you f *** ing F ***** b ******. McGinn, you bastard. F *** off, you f *** ing w *****. We are the people! F *** off! “

Following the shocking clip, the London club have confirmed that they have opened an investigation and will punish those responsible, according to a statement posted on Chelsea’s official website.
“We are aware of a video posted on social media showing a person using abusive sectarian language in the crowd at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.” said the statement. “Chelsea Football Club considers all forms of discriminatory behavior to be completely unacceptable and we condemn the language used.
“The club is working to identify the affected person and will take the toughest measures against them.
“Any fan who has been in this area of the stadium and has information that may aid the club’s investigation should contact the club through our discrimination line on 0207 3863355.”
