Former Super Eagles striker Victor Ikpeba has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo has lifted the mood among Man United’s players.
Ronaldo scored two goals in his first game back at Manchester United on Saturday against Newcastle United in the Premier League.
The Portuguese superstar returned to the club from Juventus this summer. During his six years at Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games before joining Real Madrid in 2009 for the then world record fee.
In a chat with the Monday Night Football Program about Supersports, the Atlanta Olympic Champion said that Ronaldo completely changed the Red Devils in just one game.
“I’m not really surprised that Ronaldo scored two goals against Newcastle because he always showed this hunger to score.
“You can see that his arrival lifted the mood among the Man United players. And I’m sure he’ll do more to get the team to where they belong in the Premier League.
