Olivier Giroud returned to training today ahead of AC Milan’s big duels with Liverpool and Juventus this week.
The Frenchman moved from Champions League winners Chelsea to Rossoneri this summer, was in hot form preparing for his new team and continued in Serie A, scoring a brace in the second of two games so far.
It remains to be seen whether he will get the promise to travel to Anfield on Wednesday but he will certainly be ready to get back on track when his team takes on Juve over the weekend, where he will try to put pressure on our side that so far didn’t have the best start to the campaign.
Juve was also bolstered by the return of some of their players ahead of CL games this week after we missed some South American players on Saturday due to our Napoli loss after late returning from international service.
I don’t think Giroud’s style of play will cause much of a problem for our defense, but Wojciech Szczesny has had a hard time impressing so far this season and he will have to improve his form sooner rather than later.
