Noa Lang transfer update as agent reveals reason Leeds United are absent

Noa Lang’s agent insists the player is still open to a possible move from Club Brugges after explaining why the Leeds United-linked winger missed a summer move.

Marcelo Bielsa’s team was strongly linked to a move from the Dutchman over the summer. He has been successful since moving to Belgium after making a first loan last season from Ajax.

He scored 14 goals and weighed eight assists in just 24 league games. As such, Brugge held the original “€ 6 million purchase commitment” is now considered a real bargain.

That form has led to speculation that Leeds and Seville are both interested. But it’s Leeds who seem to have all the aces behind them Victor Orta has been told the player is dying to move to the Premier League.

As it turned out, Leeds couldn’t reach a deal for the winger. Bruges reportedly valued the player at around € 24m – 400% more than their initial investment.

And at the end, Leeds was able to win the long-term goal Daniel James instead. His arrival likely means that any move in Leeds will be put on hold for Lang for the time being.

For a long time, however, the new season started exactly where it left off. scored four and assisted four in his first eight games.

Now his agent has claimed that the Leeds target was close to the end of the summer window. However, he did not indicate which side was close to a deal.

“Towards the end there was specific interest from several competitions. As much as he loves being at Club Brugge, you’ve noticed he was getting more restless, which makes sense, ”said Bart Baving Het Laatste Nieuws [via Sport Witness].

Bruges fee for long. too high

Bruges reportedly asked for up to € 30million for the winger.

However, Baving claims they would have to lower those claims if he were to secure a move.

“You saw that clubs were economical. We have also heard amounts over € 25 million for Teun Koopmeiners. In the end, he went to Atalanta for 14 million euros, ”he explained.

“With the amount Club Brugge had in mind for Noa, it had become difficult anyway. In addition, Noa did not want to exchange this club for any team.

Lang will make his Champions League debut on Wednesday night when it comes to PSG.

The Belgians have found themselves in a tough group that also includes Manchester City and RB Leipzig.
