Inter Milan are interested in Arsenal duo Lacazette and Aubameyang

Inter Milan are believed to be interested in Arsenal duo Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as they step up their search for a Romelu Lukaku replacement.

The Serie A side suffered a severe blow this summer following the departure of the Belgian striker, with the current Chelsea man playing a pivotal role in firing the club to their first league title in over a decade last season.

After that triumph, it was a turbulent month for the club when title-winning coach Antonio Conte left after a dispute with the club’s owners, while star asset Achraf Hakimi was also moved on – before Lukaku’s £ 97.5m return to Stamford Bridge – due to financial difficulties of the association.

They have made a good start to the domestic season under new coach Simone Inzaghi, even if it still seems to fill a gap in terms of a high-profile striker, despite the fact that Edin Dzeko and former Lazio player Joaquin Correa have been brought into the transfer window .

According to Sportzeuge, the Italian giants are looking for a new center forward as soon as possible, according to Gazetta dello Sport, with both Aubameyang and Lacazette on their target lists.

According to the report, Inter are keen to do business with a new striker in January, their top priority, with the Arsenal pair being just two of the names they are considering.

The report suggests that due to his current contract situation, they are more inclined to switch to Lacazette as the Frenchman’s existing contract expires at the end of the season, which means he can sign a pre-contract in January or be for a small fee in the winter window signed.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta reportedly promised the former Lyon man a new deal despite no such deal showing up, leaving Inter hoping they can strike a deal at a discounted price in the coming months.

This puts him in front of his teammate Aubameyang. The Gabon international has just under two years left on the new contract he signed a little over a year ago, while still being a focal point and a leader in Arteta’s current team.
