Eighteen Ghanaian referee instructors have started a five day training workshop on the CAF referee training and learning program – others are known in Prampram as REL.
The course, which started on Saturday October 9th, will end on Wednesday October 13th, 2021 at the Ghanaman Center of Excellence in Prampram.
The CAF REL Training – a newly introduced umpire software used to analyze umpire performance and match analysis to evaluate and assess general umpire performance after competitions and tournaments, would help the umpire department of the Ghana Football Association To judge officials during and after competitions for proper evaluation and evaluation.
Instructors include former FIFA referee Lim Kee Chong and Ramy Gamal – the Confederation of African Football (CAF) IT manager.
In addition to the 18 referees trainers, employees from the IT and communications departments also take part in the course.
REL training is one of many measures introduced by FIFA, CAF and GFA to help Ghanaian referees improve their performance in both domestic and international matches.
