Zlatan Ibrahimovic hoping for a return from an injury, though AC Milan play against Porto after the international match window in the Champions League.
The 40-year-old has only played once this season and scored as AC Milan defeated Lazio at the San Siro stadium in September and plans to return as soon as club football returns from the second international break in 2021/22.
According to Tuttosport, Milan’s Champions League game against Porto on October 19 is when the Swede is most likely to return to the field.
Ibrahimovic could, however, be included in Stefano Pioli’s squad for the Serie A game against Hellas Verona on Saturday 16 October.
Ibrahimovic last played in the Champions League in the 2017/18 season and only played 16 minutes. He previously played 10 times in competition for Paris Saint-Germain in 2015/16, scoring five goals.
