Young attacker Charles-Isaiah Hermann, the son of former Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor, has expressed his desire to play for the Ghanaian senior team.
The 21-year-old is currently playing in Belgium with KV Kortrijk on loan from VfL Wolfsburg.
As he continues to work to earn a place on the Wolfsburg senior team in the coming season, Charles-Isaiah Hermann has kept an eye on wearing the Black Stars jersey.
In an interview with Oman Sports, CK Akonnor’s son says that although he was born and raised in Germany, he dreams of playing for the Ghanaian national team.
“There is no doubt that I will love to play for Ghana. I will go right away. If you call me, I’ll go straight. You know, I was born and raised in Germany, but I’m black.
“I’m from Ghana, so I still have that Ghana heart in me. I just feel connected, even though I haven’t been there for a long time, ”said Charles-Isaiah Hermann.
The youngster has already represented the German national youth teams, including U-15, U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19.
