Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is struggling to fit into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for the first team.
Since joining the Red Devils last summer after a move of 35.1 million
Van de Beek’s lack of playing time, repeatedly overlooked in favor of Bruno Fernandes, is painfully reflected in the fact that he has only played four Premier League games since his arrival.
With speculation on the midfielder’s long-term future growing, Juventus are a club heavily linked to providing the Dutchman with an escape from his Old Trafford nightmare.
The midfielder has recently fueled speculation after his angry reaction to the snub during his team’s Champions League game against Villarreal last month was taped by cameras on the pitch.
Despite van de Beek’s recent public frustration as well as his strong ties with Juventus, Caught offside understands that the 36-time Italian champion is not interested in signing the 24-year-old.
It was revealed to us by a close source at the club that van de Beek is not a player “The Old Lady” is chasing and will therefore not attempt to reach out to Man United in January.
As we understand it, van de Beek’s team-mate Paul Pogba remains Juventus’ top transfer priority.
The Frenchman’s contract at Old Trafford expires next summer and, having not yet signed an extension, senior Juventus officials agree that they will continue to push for the Frenchman to sign.
Talks between Juventus Turin and Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola have been ongoing since last year.
