Braida: “Milan will win the Scudetto”

Former Milan director Ariedo Braida believes the Rossoneri will win the Serie A title this season: “Paolo Maldini and Stefano Pioli have done an exceptional job.”

Braida spent more than 20 years in Milan.

In 1986 he was appointed general director and was the club’s sports director from 2002 to 2013.

He then moved to Barcelona, where he was responsible for negotiations with foreign clubs as an “international sports director”.

“I think Milan will win the title this season, Maldini and Pioli are doing an exceptional job,” Braida told GR Parlamento, as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic will still be decisive, even if the time goes by for everyone and he often has physical problems now.

“I am convinced that it is important to continue with the same coach, because every time you change you have to start from scratch.”

The Rossoneri occupy second place in the Serie A table, just two points behind leaders Napoli.

After the break, Pioli’s side will greet Hellas Verona at San Siro before facing Bologna, Turin, Roma and Inter.

They didn’t get off to a good start to their first Champions League season in seven years as they lost their two opening games against Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.
