French striker Oliver Giroud has claimed he had a better time at Chelsea than Arsenal as he played for both clubs.
In a TalkSport breakfast show on Tuesday, the AC Milan forward pointed out that his time at Stamford Bridge was the best because he won titles with the team.
“[I spent] three and a half seasons there [at Chelsea]. I had a great time at the Arsenal goal [at Chelsea] I can say more because I won the big titles, “said Giroud.
The striker went on to say that it was difficult for him to leave the club after it became apparent that he would not get any more playing time after Timo Werner’s arrival.
“It was emotionally difficult to leave when I left Montpellier and Arsenal, but it was even harder” [at Chelsea] because I haven’t played in the last three months so it was proof of me to go and face a new challenge.
“I was a little frustrated because I hadn’t played in the last three months, because I made a good contribution to success in the Champions League by becoming the team’s top scorer. but what should I say? We were so successful and I am very happy with the FA Cup, the Europa League and the Champions League. I scored a couple of important goals, “he added.
