Erling Haaland was warned by Borussia Dortmund’s team-mate Mats Hummels of a possible move to Manchester United or Manchester City.
HaalandThe 21-year-old is already one of the most terrifying strikers in world football. Since arriving in Dortmund, the Norwegian hotshot has scored 68 goals in 67 appearances. While some might suggest that the Bundesliga is comparatively weaker compared to the Premier League or La Liga, Haaland’s Champions League record speaks for itself.
The slender striker has looted 13 goals in eleven Champions League games against yellow and black. Previously, he scored eight out of six for RB Salzburg in a group that included Liverpool and Napoli.
As such, Haaland is affiliated with the vast majority of Europe’s elite clubs. In addition, his reported £ 68million release clause, which will be activated next summer, has made him affordable for many.
While Real Madrid appear to be in pole position, Manchester United and Manchester City is believed to be in the mix too. As a matter of fact, It was recently announced that United’s hierarchy had come to an agreement on the potential future of Haaland at Old Trafford.
But in conversation with a German newspaper image, Dortmund’s team-mate Hummels Haaland has warned of a change.
Hummels was a loyal Dortmunder before moving to Bayern Munich in 2016.
And although he has won three Bundesliga titles in a row in Bavaria, Hummels warned that the turf on the other side is not always greener. In fact, Hummels returned to Dortmund three years later after falling into the pecking order.
Hummels said (about Spox): “I can fully understand him if he wants to stay! Because it’s great in Dortmund, because he knows what he’s got here. I haven’t given up hope that he’ll stay long.
“The grass, on the other hand, isn’t always greener. You should really be aware of that in football.
“It’s worth a lot when you have a good environment and also feel comfortable with the boys.
“You have to appreciate that. This is not the case with every club. So we have a lot to offer Erling, it’s not like that. “
