Roma are afraid of it Tammy Abraham sustained an ankle injury while playing for England during the Serie A international break in October.
The striker has been a key performer for the Giallorossi this season after joining the Premier League from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
According to Il Messaggero, he is now likely to stand on the sidelines for a period of time as he recovers from his injury. Further examinations are expected to be carried out on Wednesday afternoon.
Abraham suffered the injury in the second half of England’s 5-0 away win over Andorra, in which he scored the team’s third goal.
The striker returned straight to Rome for treatment. The injury will likely mean that Uzbek strikers Eldor Shomurodov, who arrived from Genoa in the summer, and Borja Mayoral, who was on loan from Real Madrid, will have more playing time.
