AC Milan are in the running to bring Jesse Lingard to Serie A on a free transfer after the Manchester United midfielder turned down his club’s latest contract offer.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder got off to a great start this season, scoring twice in three Premier League starts but is still upset after being loaned out last season.
Although Lingard has enjoyed a good loan deal at West Ham, where he has scored nine league goals in 16 games, the player is now looking to leave his youth club in search of a challenge overseas for ESPN.
The player is said to prefer moving to Italy or Spain as he is looking for a completely new challenge and this is where Milan comes in.
The Rossoneri would be the Italian club that would land Lingard for free if he chose Italy over Spain. If not, then Barcelona are his preferred choice in La Liga.
