Hearts of Oak duo Caleb Amankwa and Emmanuel Nettey could face the Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco in the CAF Champions League on Sunday.
The Phobians will face one of the most consistent teams in the CAF Champions League of recent times in this preliminary round on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Ghanaian giants set up the game after beating Guinean club CI Kamsar with a 2-0 win at Accra Sports Stadium last month.
Earlier reports in local media suggested the pair likely won’t be there when Hearts of Oak take on WAC on Sunday.
However, according to the club’s spokesman Opare Addo, the duo’s situation looks positive and could face Morocco’s WAC.
“Although there have been some blows, the medical team is working so well on them and things are looking positive that they may be a choice given how well the medical team are working on them,” he testified to Aben FM Koforidua.
“We hope to make them fit so we can use them against the WAC,” he said
