Denis Law gets another statue while Sir Alex helps with the unveiling

At the ceremony in Marischal Square near Broad Street in the city where Law was born in 1940, Sir Alex gushed, “I think this statue definitely catches him. The only thing I don’t see is that he is wiping his sweater on his nose!

“I think Denis is a Scotsman. He showed fantastic courage at the age of 15 to go to Huddersfield as a little boy. Not many have the courage to do that.

“He had a chance to be a great player. He took the chance and his career has been amazing. He was a fantastic player. He was the greatest Scottish player of all time, no question about it.”
