Newcastle United have reportedly contacted Manchester United about a possible transfer deal for Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek.
The magpies, which have been in new ownership since their Saudi takeover, are reportedly willing to pay up to £ 25million for a permanent deal to sign Van de Beek.
United themselves would rather loan the former Ajax man for now, though it seems pretty clear that he doesn’t have a great future at the club.
Below is the Transfer Exchange Show’s update on the Van de Beek situation, with Newcastle clearly pushing for this move to happen in January …

Newcastle fans will no doubt hope to see more ambitions like this from their club after years of struggle under previous owner Mike Ashley, who has often been criticized for not investing enough in the team.
Van de Beek may have struggled during his time at Old Trafford but he remains a class that would certainly take this Newcastle side to a higher level.
