Jurgen Klopp is confident that both Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah will soon rediscover their best form in front of goal.

The pair were both wasteful in Wednesday night’s Merseyside defeat to Everton as they put in another disappointing display in front of goal.

Nunez has scored just once from his last nine appearances, with that strike one he knew little about as clearance from goalkeeper Ivo Grbic rebounded in off the Uruguayan against Sheffield United. Meanwhile, Salah has scored twice from his last seven outings, but both goals have been penalties.

Admitting the pair are not in a good moment at the moment, Klopp insisted it is normal for strikers to go through such droughts as he revealed how he is trying to help the two forwards rediscover their form.

“Not in a good moment, one or two,” he said. “That is obviously the most tricky thing to do. Strikers not scoring, whatever I say.

“It is tricky, strikers have to go through these things. That’s how it is, that’s a striker’s life. Goalkeeper’s life is make 500 saves and one howler, and everybody talks about this.
