Anthony Hudson is searching for a new managerial role following his departure from Al Markiyah in Qatar. The former United States coach, who has an impressive CV and wealth of experience, left his position at Al Markiyah by mutual consent after just three games.

Hudson, who started his career as a trainee at West Ham, had agreed to take up a technical consultant role but has now parted ways with the club and is ready for his next challenge. Hudson's coaching credentials include a stint as assistant boss for the United States at the last World Cup, stepping up as interim boss when Gregg Berhalter temporarily stepped down.

The son of Chelsea legend Alan Hudson, the 42-year-old's notable achievements include securing the allegiance of ex-Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun for the US over England, despite Balogun having represented the Three Lions at youth level, and reintegrating Nottingham Forest midfielder Gio Reyna into the international scene. Hudson played a key role in the US national team's success, winning both the Gold Cup and Nations League against Mexico, further enhancing his reputation as a top coach.

Hudson made headlines as one of the youngest coaches to earn his badges following an injury that cut short his playing career. He has received high praise from former West Ham boss Harry Redknapp.

In an interview with BBC Sport, Hudson reflected on his time working with Tottenham Hotspur's reserve side, back in 2011: «On my last day I went to thank Harry for all he's done in my time there. And he was really pleased I got the job. And Harry said to everyone in the office out loud „see that lad, he's going to be the new Mourinho“ and I just started laughing.
