Man City fan falls onto concrete while celebrating Bernardo's winning goal

A 14-year-old Manchester City fan suffered a 'devastating' fall onto concrete while celebrating Bernardo Silva's winning goal in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Onur Yilmaz was in a third-tier stand when he lost his balance and fell over a railing on Saturday 20 April while making his way to the toilets.

His mother Rachel claims he had stopped walking to celebrate the midfielder's winning goal in the 84th minute.

Onur's 19-year-old brother Josh - and other fans - found him 'out cold' on the floor, covered in blood after falling 15 feet onto concrete.

He was given medical attention before being taken to hospital.

Rachel, who was at home in Astley, Wigan, during the match, told the Manchester Evening News: 'I was beside myself and had a full meltdown.

'I had a panic attack and my eldest son was traumatised seeing him out cold and covered in blood.

'I'm still in shock.

'A woman who helped him during the incident said she saw him lifeless and thought he was dead.

'To be so far away was horrendous... not being with them both to comfort them.'

Onur travelled back to his Greater Manchester home on Sunday, before going to Manchester Royal Infirmary for further treatment.

He suffered a broken eye socket, a broken nose, a forehead fracture and cuts to his mouth and chin. He also needed surgery after breaking two toes.

Onur is now recovering at home but the avid City fan, who plays as a goalkeeper for Wigan Athletic FC under 16s, will be out of action for some time.

Rachel added: 'He's alive and we're beyond grateful, but he's not in the best way. He's healing and resting now to get back for pre-season with Wigan.

'He's an avid City fan and he's still adamant about seeing his team and the FA Cup final. We're hoping he'll make a full recovery
