Premier League Darts prize money confirmed after thrilling Luke Littler victory

Darts sensation Luke Littler earned his first nightly Premier League darts win after beating Nathan Aspinall 6-4.

Going into night nine, The Nuke sat in fifth after winning seven matches earning 13 points but the triumph took him up to second just two points behind leader Luke Humphries.

Littler had to overcome two of the most dominant players in this year's Premier League Darts competition Humphries and Michael Van Gerwen in the quarter-final and semi-final. His success in front of 9,000 in Belfast marked the latest landmark in the Warrington native's astronomic rise from an unknown 16-year-old to a global superstar.

It's been a successful Premier League Darts debut for Littler, reaching the semi-final - including night two's final defeat - in five out of the eight events before Thursday's win. For Littler, who earned a whopping £250,000 for his breakthrough tournament in the PDC World Darts Championships last year, scored himself another £10,000 for his nightly win in Northern Ireland.

Already in his professional career, Littler has won the Bahrain Darts Masters and finished runner-up in the Dutch Darts Masters this year. With another six nights remaining, Littler will be hoping to tot up the points and be in the playoffs in London on May 23.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "I'm happy to win, it's my first one. I've changed my throw, took a bit more time with my throw, I've practised more and it's paid off.

"Me and Nathan get on very well, when he won his semi-final, it was like 'let's go'. Sometimes I'm rushing then I put more practice in tonight and
