Erik ten Hag will 'LEAVE Man United this summer' on one condition...

Erik ten Hag will reportedly walk out of his managerial job at Manchester United this summer on one condition.

The 54-year-old is under mounting pressure and with United almost guaranteed to miss out on Champions League football next campaign ahead of their FA Cup se,i-final clash with Coventry on Sunday.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are plotting sweeping changes this summer and this could extend to Ten Hag, although it is thought a decision has not yet been made.

The likes of Graham Potter and Gareth Southgate have been linked to the managerial role at Old Trafford in recent months.

And according to the Mirror, Ten Hag will resign from his role if he doesn't get assurances from INEOS about their commitment to him.

He has just over a year remaining on his current contract and talks over an extension are yet to take place.

United have the option to extend his contract by a year but that would not stop Ten Hag from leaving if he felt he was fighting a losing battle.

The outlet also claims that the Dutchman could be in line to return to Ajax if Alex Kroes is reinstated.

Kroes was suspended from his role as CEO earlier this month after 'indications he was engaged in insider trading'.

Fans have called for him to reinstated and he is demanding to get his job back as he claims his dismissal does not adhere to Dutch stock market regulations.

Kroes is a lifelong friend of Ten Hag's agent Kees Vos and will put the United boss at the top of his managerial wish-list if resumes his role.

John van t Schip is in interim charge of the Eredivisie side, who are currently . n fifth place in the table

Potter is also in the running for the job after he held talks with the club and is keeping his options open ahead of a return to management.
