Jürgen Klopp urges Liverpool to give everything and conquer Manchester United for a € 120 million midfield lynchpin, according to a report.
The two giants of English football often cross over on transfer targets. And they are both looking for a new man to sit in the middle of the park. LiverpoolMidfield is aging while United’s is desperately missing.
With the situation obvious at both Anfield and Old Trafford, they have declared war on English midfielder Jude Bellingham.
At the age of just 18, Bellingham has been playing for Borussia Dortmund and its national team beyond his years.
Today he has potential like no other youngster in world football, hence the great interest in his signature.
However, its German owners are infatuated with it. And because they don’t want to lose him next summer, they have imposed a staggering 120 million euros on him.
But that doesn’t deter Klopp. According to Todofichajes, the Reds manager thinks it is “essential” to breathe new life into his midfield.
Why Man Utd Will See A Whirlwind In Its First Months When They Appoint Mauricio Pochettino Now
He wants the team to revolve around the Birmingham City youth product. And that means Bellingham is their clear transfer priority.
The report claims Liverpool insist they will meet the necessary price to get Klopp the man he wants so badly.
In addition to United, the interest should also come from Newcastle. They are currently the only interested parties.
This is in stark contrast to the transfer fight for Bellingham’s Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland. He is in the focus of several top European clubs.
This is one of the reasons why the Bundesliga club does not want to lose the English sensation. Walking both top stars in one window would be a hard pill to swallow.
Reds put Devils on alert
Rio Ferdinand hopes United will heed the warning he gave in a recent interview before Bellingham.
When asked which role in midfield he fits best, Ferdinand said Vibe with five: “Any. He’s that good. In England’s youth teams he played at times as a midfielder, number 8, box-to-box, and sometimes he can go on and attack even more.
“He has the ability and capacity to play all of the roles, he’s so good. I think for him I see him as someone who can do everything.
“There aren’t that many midfielders who can attack and defend and influence the game at both ends of the pitch.
“If you’re one of the super clubs you think if we have the financial strength to get it, you don’t want to miss it.”
