Former Chelsea star Joe Cole celebrated the club’s player after his impressive performance against Juventus in the UCL on Tuesday night.
Chelsea received the Old Ladies in the second leg of the tournament at Stamford Bridge and destroyed them with a 4-0 result.
The first goal came in the 25th minute from Trevoh Chalobah. Reece James scored a second goal with a beautiful volley in the 55th minute before Callum Hudson-Odoi scored a third for Chelsea.
The German striker Timo Werner came off the bench and scored the fourth goal in the 95th minute when he tipped a cross from Hakim Ziyech into the goal from close range.
Cole, who happened to be enthusiastic about the brilliant performance, praised his old club for the way they won.
“Champagne soccer,” said Cole BT Sport after the final whistle. “It was a nice performance. Unbelievable.”
He added: “It was an absolutely outstanding achievement to have Chelsea in the driver’s seat for this group in the Champions League.”
Chelsea will now focus on their next game against Man Utd in the EPL, which will be played on Sunday.
