Man United are targeting pochettino tactics that frustrate PSG players

Manchester United remain strongly linked to the move to hire Paris Saint-Germain’s Mauricio Pochettino as a long-term replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils had to make a change after their horrific recent form and the transfer window podcast provided plenty of details about the club’s pursuit of Pochettino, as well as other potential candidates for the job.

One intriguing detail from the podcast, however, is that PSG players are not satisfied with Pochettino’s tactics, despite the fact that the Argentine is personally popular in the Parc des Princes dressing room.

It’s important that Man Utd get their next manager appointment right, but it might actually be the case that Pochettino wouldn’t be their best bet to manage this group of big-name players.

Mauricio Pochettino’s tactics didn’t go down well at PSG

The 49-year-old did his most impressive job as Tottenham boss, not working with so many big names or with so much pressure and expectation on his shoulders.

If Pochettino’s methods are not well received by Neymar and Co. At PSG, chances are he has similar problems with egos like Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.

Most United fans would certainly still see the former Spurs boss as the best candidate out there, but this detail should perhaps give the club food for thought.

Pochettino failed to win the Ligue 1 title with PSG last season, and his side wasn’t too convincingly desperate to win in the Champions League either.
