'They are planning to silence this one'

With Young Africans head coach Miguel Gamondi making a big claim regarding Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of their encounter, fans have made some claims of their own too.

What's the story?

The side's will go head-to-head in the quarter-final of the CAF Champions League, and Gamondi stated that he knows the Brazilians very well.

"I was coach at Sundowns, and I know what they like to do and what they are building now is not only important for South Africa, but for African continent because they it's an advert for Africa," he said.

"For us, it is probably going to be the toughest opponent we will get but at the same time it will be a great learning experience for Young Africans to play with a quality side and technical staff. I think this will be a great advert for African football."

Here's what the KO readers had to say about it:

"Mr Gamondi u coached Sundowns ages ago. The team is fierce these days, don't make a mistake to rely on old information, you will eat grass and sweat blood," says Riri Solomon.

"Rulani can show you his game plan an hour before kick-off but still outmanoeuvre you on the field. That's how dangerous Sundowns is," says Clement Mnguni.

"You were a coach there 18 years back, a lot has changed since then," says Skhumbuzo Sphiwe Mncube.

"We also know you, and remember: this Sundowns is troublesome," says James Maatjie.

"What I love the most about Sundowns is the fact that we are talking in the field of play," says Bonga Nkadimeng.

"Sundowns is quiet and they are planning to silence this one and talk after the game," says Tboz Sandawana.

"'Amapiano'by Gommondi. He has been talking this man. We will be talking on the field and he will eat his humble pie. That Amapiano tune he has been playing....'I
