Alessio Cragno returns for Cagliari amid Kevin Strootman’s doubts as struggling Genoa try to get their new additions to the squad.
The Sardinians need their goalkeeper back after losing 4-1 to Milan, especially as Diego Godin and now Strootman may be on the treatment table. The newcomers Keita Balde Diao and Martin Caceres are pushing for a place in the starting XI.
Genoa have lost both games so far this season and the pressure is already mounting on coach Davide Ballardini. They were beaten 4-0 by Inter and were unlucky in a 2-1 home defeat to Napoli. The club have been very active in the transfer market in the last few days so Felipe Caicedo, Nikola Maksimovic and Vasquez may make their debuts.
Statistical fact: Only once did Genoa start a season with three defeats in a row, 1957/58.
