"The PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan," said Nottingham Forest after the loss to Everton

Nottingham Forest accused the Premier League referees' body of putting Luton Town fan Stuart Attwell in charge of the VAR for Sunday's game against Everton.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side claimed 3 penalties - all 3 of them Ashley Young's - during the match and claimed in a statement that they were "extremely poor" decisions and that they cannot accept them.

"We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times. NFFC will now consider its options," stated Nottingham Forest.

After the 2-0 defeat against Everton, 'The Forest' is 1 point above the relegation zone, with Luton Town on 25 points.

This is not the first time Nottingham Forest have criticized refereeing decisions this season and a few weeks ago, in a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool, the referee wronged them by handing a last minute ball to the 'reds which, according to the rules, should have gone to the team managed by Nuno.
